Pembagian golongan pasangan menurut Von Wiese adalah sebagai berikut:
a.       Pasangan yang sesungguhnya:
1.       Pasangan menurut seks: suami – istri;
2.       Pasangan menurut keturunan: anak-orang tua;
3.       Pasangan persahabatan;
b.      Pasangan yang tidak sungguh:
1.       Hakim-terdakwa;
2.       Perwira-prajurit;
3.       Sopir-penumpang;
4.       Dsb.
